 Meet the Staff

 Dwight Dingle, Station Manager

Dwight started with WTTR in 1974 as a part-time announcer while teaching elementary school in Owings Mills. In 1982 he came to WTTR full-time as a mid-day announcer and since then has served in various capacities. He lists as his proudest accomplishments in radio the many community and professional awards that WTTR has achieved, including the prestigious Crystal Award from the National Association of Broadcasters, scores of journalistic honors and a first place radio award from the International Association of Fairs and Exhibits. Originally from Washington County, Maryland, Dwight has a bachelor's and a master's degree from Towson University. He and his wife Sue are the proud parents of one son, Ryan, and two wonderful grandchildren, Carlie and Kirsten.

Email Dwight at dwight@wttr.com.

Mark Woodworth, News Director

Mark's origins in broadcasting go back more than 35 years to college radio in California. After stints in Massachusetts and Virginia, Mark became well-known to Baltimore area listeners as a rock DJ on the FM dial in the 70s and 80s. With a short stop in Pennsylvania, he came to WTTR "just for fun!" for some weekend music programs. That was almost 18 years ago. Mark started news reporting and working on community affairs shows in 1993 and has since won more than 25 awards as a radio journalist.

Email Mark at news@wttr.com.

Tom Burnett, Traffic Director

Tom Burnett, currently WTTR's Traffic Director and overnight News Reporter, joined our family in the mid-1970s as the Sunday afternoon music host. Since that time Tom has done almost every job in the station at one time or another. His history in radio and television began in the fall of 1959 as part of the college experience at the University of Massachusetts. His time in New England is why Tom is one of the few people at the station who really celebrated the 2004  and 2007 World Series. Tom and his wife, Irene, are the parents of five married children. Their family has increased to include 12 grandchildren. Most evenings during the season, Tom can be found calling balls and strikes at any one of many local rec council baseball games.

Email Tom at tom@wttr.com.

Bruce Main, Afternoon Personality

If there is such a thing as "coming full circle," Bruce Main has done exactly that. Bruce lived in Westminster until the late '70s when he moved away to pursue his career. Bruce certainly wore a lot of hats in broadcasting, doing everything from engineering to front office work to on-air work, including a weekend stint on WTTR in the mid-'80s. Then Bruce became a traffic reporter on Radio One and CBS stations. In 2006, he found his way back home again to WTTR, becoming the afternoon host. He says, "It has been said 'You can't go home again,' but I'm staying and I can't think of a better place to be than home and WTTR." Bruce and his wife Terry live in Westminster.

John Pepsin, Account Executive, Sunday Show Host

John began his career as an account executive at WTTR in 2000, but has been on the air since 1985 as the host of "Communique," a Contemporary Christian Music show on Sunday mornings. After seeing the results of advertising his own successful business on WTTR for 25 years, John is on a mission to help other businesses achieve their goals through creative advertising campaigns. On occasion John can be heard sitting in as substitute host of The Morning Show weekdays on WTTR. He has been married to his wife, Diane, for 25 years and has been mistaken for one of the Blues Brothers when playing guitar and harmonica for his band, "The Full Gospel Boogie Band."

Email John at john@wttr.com.

Betsy Santos, Part-time Announcer

Betsy Santos came to WTTR in 1989.  She started as a board operator and then became a part-time weekend announcer.  She met her then future husband Mike at the station.  In 1997, not long after they married, they started a family and Betsy left the station to be a full-time mom.  In 2004 Betsy came back, picking up right where she left off.  She now serves as board operator, part-time announcer, and news department fill-in, among other things. "I've always wanted to be a jack-of-all-trades, and in a small station like this, I am!" she says. Betsy enjoys being part of the Voice of Carroll County even more than she did the first time around.  She feels, "We have a fantastic staff at the station.  Most of us have been here for years, and we're like family. If the staff drastically changed, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun."

Lynne Dalrymple, Account Executive

Lynne has been at WTTR since Groundhog Day in 1987. Over those twenty years, she has most enjoyed the close relationships with her business clients. A Carroll County resident since 1979, Lynne has been a lover of animals all her life, raising Great Danes for twenty years and boarding horses and heifers. In addition to sales, Lynne takes a very active part in the creative end of promotions the station does each month and in voicing on-air commercials, putting to use her background as a thespian.

Donna Biemiller, Account Executive

Email Donna at donna@wttr.com.

 Wayne Wrightson, Account Executive

Wayne recently joined WTTR as an Account Executive after 32 years at BGE and three years in the Thermographic Imaging field. He loves the atmosphere at WTTR and feels he's found a "home". Wayne and his fiancee live in Westminster and enjoy spending time with the four children and two grandchildren they share between them.

Robin Temple, Production & Administrative Assistant

Robin started at WTTR on February 29, 2000 after answering an ad in the paper for part-time clerical help. She soon became the full-time receptionist and everyone's assistant. Robin is a 2005 graduate of Carroll Community College and is the proud mother of two grown daughters, a grandson, Caleb, and a new granddaughter, ClaraGrace.

If you have news about a community event that you would like us to air on WTTR and add to our website, email Robin at robin@wttr.com at least two weeks before the event.

Tracy Baskerville, Board Operator & Part-time Announcer

Tracy has worked part-time at WTTR AM 1470 since 1998. She is the Communications Director at the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts. Also, she is a group fitness instructor at Freedom Fitness in Eldersburg. In addition, Tracy volunteers at the Radio Reading Network of Maryland and was president of the Maryland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America in 2006.

 Linn Pattison, Board Operator

As a graduate of the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland, Linn took "early placement" when offered a position as a talk show producer and board operator with 56 AM WVOL in Columbia, South Carolina. Linn put aside her career in radio in the 90's to pursue a career in publishing, but is enjoying a return to radio as a board op for WTTR.

Tom Gill, Part Time Announcer

Tom joined the WTTR family in 1994 as a part-time weekend announcer. He continues working various shifts including weekend mornings, Orioles, Ravens, and local high school games. When he is not filling in at WTTR, Tom works for Asher Bartos, an advertising agency located in Sykesville. Tom has worked with many big name clients in his work outside of WTTR including Mazda, Blockbuster, Papa John's, and Weight Watchers. Tom's biggest radio idol, besides Mr. Dingle, is Jon Miller.  "He has such a great sense of humor and can make any baseball game seem exciting." Tom moved from Baltimore County to Carroll County when he was three and has been here since! He has a bachelor's degree in communications from Western Maryland College and a master's degree in marketing management from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland. He and his wife Kristin are proud parents of a baby girl born in August 2005.
