The Shepherd’s Staff- 3rd annual Empty Bowls of Carroll County
Mar 31 all-day

The Shepherd’s Staff will be hosting their 3rd annual Empty Bowls of Carroll County event on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at St. John Catholic Church’s Portico in Westminster. Attendees can purchase tickets for the following times: 11am-12pm, 12:30pm-1:30pm, or 2pm-3pm. This event is a family-friendly event and is open to all.

For a $16.50 donation, guests will have a chance to sample soups provided by the area’s best restaurants. Tickets include soup, bread, water and a take-home, ceramic bowl as a reminder of those whose bowls remain empty. All proceeds from the event benefit The Shepherd’s Staff’s Emergency and Crisis Assistance Programs. For tickets, please go to https://emptybowlscc.brownpapertickets.com.

Soups will be provided and served by the following restaurants: Bud’s at Silver Run, The Buttersburg Inn, The Food Chick, Forbidden City, Giulianova’s, Greenmount Station, LunaZul, Maggie’s, Mediterraneo, Molli’s Café, O’Lordan’s Irish Pub, Oscar’s Alehouse, Rare Opportunity Bakehouse, RockSalt Grille, Silver Oak Academy, Top Nosh, and Uncle Matty’s Eatery. Coffee will be provided by Furnace Hills Coffee. Desserts and soft drinks will also be available for an additional donation.

“Our Empty Bowls event has become one of our favorite fundraisers and we are excited to host it again this year. We are grateful to have the support of so many local restaurants, who will be providing and serving their soups, and St. John Catholic Church for providing a beautiful location,” said The Shepherd’s Staff’s executive director Brenda Meadows. “We are also grateful for the generosity of all the students, community groups, and volunteers that will be providing handcrafted bowls to give to attendees.”
For more information, sponsorship opportunities, or to volunteer, please contact The Shepherd’s Staff at 410-857-5944 or info@shepstaff.org.
