Fall Art Exhibits at the Carroll Arts Center

The Carroll Arts Center is proud to be hosting new art exhibits from August 30 through November 3, 2018 that will showcase a variety of artistic styles.

In the Tevis Gallery, “Synergy” features three dynamic Carroll County artists who come together for an energetic, thought-provoking exhibit. Tara Will’s pastels vibrate with each stroke of color. Michelle Tangires, who recently graduated with an MFA at American University, creates studies of language and letters in paint and photography. Multi-discipline artist, Charlie Maioriana, will complete the exhibit with his 3-dimensional, sculptural orbs and flow paintings.

Also on exhibit in the Community Gallery, the Carroll County Camera Club presents “The World Through Our Eyes” with new works in a variety of photographic styles. Different programs of digital alteration combined with each artist’s unique style creates an outstanding exhibit that is always a welcome surprise.

A third exhibit will be on display from September 13 to November 3 in the Director’s Hall Gallery featuring artwork by Carroll County Public School Art Teachers. We proudly showcase work of the elementary and middle school students during Youth Art Month and now it is time to showcase the artistic styles of their teachers.

The public is invited to a celebratory reception for all three exhibits on Thursday, September 13 from 5 to 7 pm. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cash bar will be part of the festivities. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The Carroll Arts Center is located at 91 W. Main St. Westminster, MD. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are: M, W, F, Sa, 10 am – 4 pm and Tue and Thurs, 10 am – 7pm.
