Gabbi Pittinger went 8-for-11, a .727 batting average over four games.  The freshman centerfielder had a .769 on-base average and an .818 slugging percentage for the week, and extended her season-opening hitting streak to five games.

Freshman midfielder Taylor Fique helped the defending state champion Mavericks to a 3-0 week.  She began by scoring eight goals and contributing three assists in a 20-1 win over Winters Mill.  Then in the “4 Causes 4 Champions” Tournament, she scored the go-ahead goal in a 12-6 victory over Broadneck, and scored the game-winning goal in a 10-9 win against Liberty.  In the tournament championship game against the Lions, Taylor totaled 2 goals, 2 assists, caused 2 turnovers, and added an impressive 10 draw controls.  Her defense was also outstanding.  The Mavs are now 4-0 and ranked #5 in the Baltimore-Metro area.
