Girls Soccer
Falcons sophomore striker Hannah Neske added to her county lead in points in the Winters Mill
girls soccer team’s 2-1 double overtime win over North County. She scored both goals,
including the game-winner, to give her 12 goals and 9 assists for 33 points. Hannah is a dual-
sport fall athlete, also running cross country for the Falcons.

Ryan Hartranft bettered his own school record in the 3-mile run, taking first place at the Frank
Keyser Invitational at Boonsboro High School. He posted a time of 15:24 to finish first for the 5 th
time in his last 6 races. The senior is ranked in the top 10 in Maryland in both the 5K- and 3-
mile runs.

Football
Jack Hitchcock led an Owls second-half comeback as they raised their overall record to 3-2 (2-0
county) in a 20-13 road victory at Manchester Valley. At safety he had 9 tackles for the game,
and at running back he rushed for 178 yards and collected 48 receiving yards, including the
touchdown which put Westminster in front to stay.
