Point guard Abby Rieger had 7 assists and 3 steals in a 20-point state semi-final win over Wicomico, and then improved upon that in the 2A state championship game, registering 8 assists and 5 steals as Key fell to unbeaten Hammond. The junior also contributed 8 points and 9 rebounds over the two games – her coach says that Abby “creates everything we do on both ends of the floor.” On the season, Abby had 6 rebounds a game, and also averaged 4.3 steals, 4.3 assists, and 4.3 deflections.
