Nichole Brosenne led the Cavaliers in an 8-1 season-opening victory against Frederick. On the mound, she pitched a complete game with three strikeouts and a walk, and allowed five hits and one earned run. At the plate the junior was 3-for-3, including two doubles and an RBI.

Girls Lacrosse
Natalie Opatovsky had a total of 13 goals and three assists in helping the Knights girls lacrosse team to a 3-0 start, with victories over Urbana, Mt. Hebron, and Middletown. The junior attack is in her third year on the varsity.

Boys Track & Field
Due to injury, Parker Foster was called to duty as the anchor of the 4x400 meter relay team. The senior had earlier run in the 3,200 and 4x800 meter runs. Parker fended off two other runners for a sixth place finish in the final event of the meet at Smithsburg. But those points made all the difference, securing a first-place finish for the Falcons boys track & field team, their team victory in over five years.
