Softball

Ryley Winebrunner rebounded from a wrist injury to post a .800 batting average and 1.267 slugging percentage for the week.  Over the course of four games she was 12-for-15 with 7 singles, 3 doubles, and 2 triples.  The junior centerfielder also contributed 8 RBI, scored 7 runs, and walked 3 times.

 

 



ROWAN MILLER

Girls Lacrosse

Normally a starting defender for the Cavaliers girls lacrosse team, Rowan Miller showed her versatility by filling in as a midfielder in three victories.  In a 12-6 win over Middletown, the sophomore scored a crucial goal, had an assist, 6 groundballs, and caused a turnover.  She had another goal and assist in a Senior Night victory over Catoctin.  Later she helped the Cavs defeat Westminster for the first time in five seasons by winning six draws to control the game.  She also added a goal, 5 groundballs, and caused a turnover.

 

 



HAYLEE BITTINGER

Manchester Valley

Girls Lacrosse

Junior attack Haylee Bittinger reached a career milestone 100 draw controls.  The Mavericks girls lacrosse team defeated Oakdale and Liberty, extending their win streak to 33 games, and capturing another county championship.  Man Valley beat Oakdale 14-0 in a game shortened due to weather, with Haylee scoring 2 goals, dishing out an assist, and controlling 75% of the draws.  Then in a 17-6 victory over Liberty, she had 2 more goals, an assist, and controlled 78% of the draws.
